and the f.d.a. has expanded its approval of the most widely described flu medication, tamiflu. you may have heard it. listen up, for children as young as two weeks old. our medical team is on. dr. david somati, head of robotics at mount sinai medical center. we're going to put up the states that are reporting so far, the worst flu season. tamiflu for kids two weeks old? >> yes, this is big breaking news, but before we get to tamiflu, this is actually a very important information for people to know. typically, flu season starts around december, it peaks around january, february, it it may go on until march. and now it started in november. and there's about eight states that are actually indicating a high number of flu, this is quite dangerous. we know that during the flu season, hundreds and thousands of people actually get hospitalized, up to 49,000 people can die from this, so, it's very serious and it's a good time to remind people again, if you have not been vaccinated, go get your vaccination. all the myths about the fact that it's dangerous and side effects from it is probably not true
